This genealogy is a work in progress by Linda Cunningham Fluharty, on behalf of the Cockayne Preservation Project.
The public is invited to contribute new, substantiated information, as well send corrections to this file.
Some of the names and ages were gleaned from census records, death records, etc., which are often not reliable.
Primary sources have been used almost exclusively.
We are indebted to the late John B. Cockayne, the probable author of the excellent biography of the Cockayne Family,
included in the Marshall County history book, published by the Historical Society in 1984.
